Error:

The messaging interface has returned an unknown error

Resolution:

Rebuild the Outlook .OST using the following steps:

1. Close Outlook

2. In Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

3. Rename Outlookprofilename.OST to .OLD

4. Open Outlook and allow mail to download.
